Fire Safety

The Fire Prevention Committee of the Brighton Fire Co. offers a wide range of programs to the Public and to the Town of Tonawanda Schools within the Brighton Fire District. The Committee visits the schools throughout the year offering Fire Safety Education; as well as hosting a number of activities at the Fire Station for interested Community groups. The Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery program in the Spring, and the Open House during Fire Prevention Week in the Fall are the highlights of the Fire Safety Activities. Both of these programs feature multiple hands-on Fire Safety Demonstrations and give-a-ways. The Newborn Smoke Detector Program is also under the direction of the Fire Prevention Committee. This Program offers a free smoke detector to the family of any newborn residing within the Brighton Fire District. For further information on any of the above activities or to request a program for your group, you may contact the Fire Prevention Committee by calling the Chief’s office and leaving a message at: 837-6255.
