Driver/Operator

The driver operates the Engine from this seat. He can operate the emergency lights, siren, and take the engine into and out of pump gear. The drivers’ primary role is to get the crew to and from an alarm safely. Once on scene, the driver may engage in numerous activities including operating the pump, staging tools, and joining the crew for interior firefighting. -
Crew

Behind the driver and officer seats are six additional seats for the remainder of the crew. Each seat is outfitted with an SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) for easy donning and doffing inside the cab. In addition, the interior is lined with multiple tools and hand lights the crew may take with them when they get off the Engine.
Small Compartment

Small compartment with room for 4 spare SCBA bottles and the operator’s on board breathing air.
Tool Compartment

This compartment contains some small miscellaneous hand tools such as haligan bars, a drywall hook, and bolt cutters as well as three different types of fire extinguishers. There are also hose adapters and couplers located here.
Driver’s Side Compartment #3

Located here is a supply of absorbent pads, extra lengths of hose and nozzles, a gated wye, electric extension cords, shaker absorbent, and bottled water.
Driver’s Side Compartment #4

In this compartment are specialized suits and gear for HazMat response calls as well as absorbent booms.
Officer’s Seat

This is where the Captains or Lieutenants of the company sit while responding to a call. From here the officer can operate the fire radio and be in communication with dispatch as well as other responding units. Special HazMat resource books and several map books are also located near the officer for responding to calls outside the district or for other unique buildings.
Crew

Small Compartment

Small compartment on this side contains some basic emergency medical supplies.
Officer’s Side Compartment #2

Located here is an exhaust fan for ventilation, pre-connected electric cord reel, flood light, and adapters for connecting a main water supply to the pump.
Officer’s Side Compartment #3

In this compartment we have additional absorbent booms, salvage covers, additional emergency medical supplies, a tool box, and road flares.
Officer’s Side Compartment #4

In here is a shower setup, as well as supplies, for decontamination at HazMat incidents. There is also a submersible pump for collection of decontaminated liquids.
